RULES AND PROCEDURES FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS
The intense and active life of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz related him to the most dissimilar sectors of our society and of the whole world. Actually, many people who keep objects or documents in their possession, in different formats, attest to this. The Fidel Castro Ruz Center promotes and accepts donations of documents or objects that belonged to our Commander in Chief or are directly related to him.
A donation is regarded as the voluntary handing over of objects and documents from legal or natural people, resident or non-resident in the country, who transfer their ownership to the institution.
Under no circumstances will donations be accepted under conditions, nor by means of trading, or any other form of exchange.
Donations to the Center can be made by citizens or institutions, Cuban or foreigners, who voluntarily wish to do so. In all cases, the donors testify to authenticity and origin, as well as their willingness to delivery.
Donations can be received at the Center by different ways:
- · Personal delivery at the Center by the donor.
- · Delivery by an individual, commissioned by the donor.
- · At the donor's home, upon request.
- · Sent to the Center via certified mail.
- · Sending a digitalized copy of the document or object.
- · By any of the aforementioned means, through our diplomatic representations.
For those people who wish to keep the property of their original documents or objects, there will be made digitalized copies for their preservation in the Center's archives and to be employed by users. These original documents or objects will then be returned to the owners for safekeeping and conservation.
Donors will receive a certificate of appreciation for their donation.
